LEARN TO DO IT NOW

Until recent times, procrastination was my nightmare. A deadlock I considered necessary to rupture. Even with this consciousness, I rescheduled on when to solve this dream-thwarting attitude – procrastination. It was that pathetic. I bought several books that would lend a hand in dealing with the problem, but I never found time to read them because I always adjourn when to read those books. I mound up excuses for myself, thinking I was being true to myself.

Now this is what we do: We lie to ourselves because we are too lazy and afraid to accept responsibilities for our flaws. This is the beginning of failure for any success inspired mind.

My beautiful dreams languished in my garden of sparkling ideas – they just lay there… dormant. I have always worked very hard. I stayed up late and woke up earlier. I tasked my mind, I got results. I gave people ideas and they became successful but I remained, circling in one spot – “stagnant” is the word. About everyone who knew me, ware disappointed with my level of achievement. I lost people whom I thought would be there. My life was really in a mess because people were beginning to resign trust in my “time schedule”. I have always had a high level of influence but my earning was far below beliefs. This was a problem – not a challenge.

This is what procrastination does: It reduces us to nothing, and then ridicules us. It steals from our affluence of accomplishment and drags us on the floor of lack. It finds justification for us, just so we don’t see the light. Procrastination whispers to you; this is not the right time, you will do it later. Well I’m telling you; THERE WILL NEVER COME A RIGHT TIME TO DO ANYTHING, SO YOU’VE GOT TO LEARN TO DO IT NOW.

I came to the understanding that, until you learn to do it now, you will keep waiting for the perfect time that may never come. I changed my mentality about procrastination. I don’t leave what I should do today for tomorrow, and I’m seeing results. You should do the same. The magic lies in your decision to DO IT NOW no matter how uncomfortable it seem.

If you desire to overcome procrastination, you must stop seeing it as a challenge and start seeing it as a problem because there are factors you must deal with. You need to be ready to war with laziness, self-indulgence and trepidation. These are breathing factors for procrastination. These factors and more, feeds this sour attitude till it grows big in us and become a major setback in all areas of our live. You must overcome that lazy attitude that tells you how tired (bone-broken and drained) you are, consciously lay concrete-bricks of self discipline that brings the clock to your mind, and build solid walls of confidence that breaks the bridges of your fears for failure.

Don’t be too afraid to fail. This is the mindset of successful people. Learning to do it now is one trusted ways to overcoming procrastination. It will not be so easy because dealing with procrastination is a process. This is why you have to learn to do it now. Everything we know today, are results of those things we learned yesterday and practice over time. If you admire success, deal with procrastination today.
