Staying Relevant

There are over 7billion people in the world. Each person is born with a distinctively unique personality and each one of us want to be successful.
We all have goals, yet we all have challenges in different forms. When I was much younger, I was asked; "where would you want to be in the next five (5) years"? I replied; I want to be in highschool. Five years later, I got into highschool and already thinking about where I wanted to be in another five years but surprisingly and till now, the question has moved from "where you want to be", to "what you want to do" to become who you want to be, to be where you want to be.

Truth is; we all aspire to occupy that golden seat as "the boss" - manage people, control money, take major decisions and do whatever we like at any given time - but sometimes things don't happen as we wish them to be. "What you want to do" therefore becomes a motivating factor.
You have to come up with a line of positive activity - a goal - that will keep you focused and thence drive you to where you want to be in the next "5 years".

Challenges spring up when we have set a goal in motion, hoping to follow through to a successful end. We pour endless energies into the tanks of our effort and sometimes no change is recorded - everything remained the same. The question is "why?".

When you lack the necessary information about a thing, it becomes difficult to reach the top of it. We don't stop eating because we swallowed through the wrong pipe; we get choked, we cough it out and finish our meal - that's how it should be with staying relevant.

Your existence will never matter until you dye yourself to the wool and make yourself subject of the matter. Until you resolve into doing something to improve humanity - whether directly or indirectly, your existence will never be meaningful.

There are more to just living than having a college degree and getting a nice job that pays huge sum into your bank account! How relevant you make yourself determines your level of acceptance by the society.

The society which is us, is bored by just harboring living beings with little or no contributions to give her a lift above mediocrity, lazy feelings, selfishness, greed and other negatively influenced attitudes that rule the mind.

Ask yourself, what are you living for while alive and what will you be known for when you are dead and gone into the world unseen?
Many a time, all we care about is "surviving the now". In as much as that is important, you must understand that there are more to just surviving.

Think big! Expand the coast of your thinking mind. Empower your imaginative mind through constant imagination of big pictures. Your mind will get use to producing big ideas when you train yourself to the task. Be the person with the solutions, the one with too many ideas; the one who is intellectually wealthy and constantly producing meaningful results.

It will only cost you inward concentration to fetch big ideas from your wealth of imagination. Listen to your thoughts and control the contents of your thoughts. The seat of thought is so empowered by nature such that it can be controlled to produce specific results.

Be careful what you want. Most times, our wants preoccupy our mind leaving us with crossed-thoughts which will eventually determine our actions or reactions. If you are ever concerned with something, that thing should be - you staying relevant - in your immediate society and the far world.
