Empowering Your Tomorrow

An empowerment/ skill acquisition project aimed at developing the Nigeria Communities by creating and providing myriad of job opportunities; bringing out the innate skills and passion of the Nigerian youths by empowering and promoting their enterprising proficiency. INTRODUCTION: Nigeria has a population of over 160 million people and about 70% of this population is a crop up of the youths. Unemployment has been identified as a major challenge the nation faces. How will the Nigerian youths survive in this competitive and less employable state as ours? This question has troubled the heart of the government and employers. There is the need for more entrepreneurs to be birthed and equipped so as to overcome the challenges of unemployment and human resource development in Nigeria. EMPOWERING YOUR TOMORROW THE PROJECT: Empowering Your Tomorrow (EYT) is a Community Development Project aimed at creating a database of young CEOs especially university students, fresh graduates and the unemployed. Its primary purpose is to make entrepreneurs of youths in Nigeria. Empowering your tomorrow tends to instil positive economic change in the society by empowering the human capital with knowledge, information and trainings, which will in turn, produce tycoons of men and women in Nigeria. The Project therefore seeks to create a training platform for over six (6) skill acquisition programs, professional chats, lectures by business facilitators and open opportunity to access up to fifty percent (50%) discount from facilitators should they want to further their studies on the skills. VISION: Empowering your tomorrow seeks to see a Nigeria void of unemployment. MISSION: To discover, train and manage people’s entrepreneurial skills. EVENT DETAILS: Date: 5 September 2014 Time: 9 am prompt (red carpet opens at 7:29 am) Venue: Ondo State Cultural Centre (Adegbemile) Akure. Attendees: we project a participation of minimum of 550 persons, representatives of private corporate organizations, government organizations, business and professional facilitators, Target Demographics: Our primary demographic target is Males and females between age 15-3o. The secondary demographic are Males and females between age 31-60. Target Audience: The target groups for this project are; youths of tertiary institutions within the south west, established business personals, prospective entrepreneurs, financial institutions, corporate organizations, government officials, corps members and the general public. Request: Empowering Your Tomorrow - Community Development Project humbly request for your support in the area of finance, branding of event centre and provision of relevant materials like writing pads (jotters) and pens; and for banks to provide opportunities for start-up business accounts opening in which the process may be completed after company registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). We also need volunteers who are good team players and self motivated to drive this awe-inspiring project to a safe landing, on the center-stage of success.
