You have a unique being so incomparable. It is ok to have a mentor and it is ok to wish for something or to reach a particular height others have reached. But trying to compare yourself with other people is like starting a race with people who are halfway gone the finishing line.
A lot of people would say they like competitions - that is ok. But here is one fact. Competing with others puts you at an unrest state; you are not relaxed - you are under pressure. But competing with yourself puts you ahead of others. You think smart, act smart and stay ahead.
The next time you wish to be like someone whom you think have achieved so much, do not forget that they paid sacrifices, they climbed several mountains, faced and overcame several challenges - sacrifices you may not give, mountains you may not want to climb, challenges you may pray never to face.
Everyone is unique in his own way. If you wish to be someone else, be ready to go through what they went through and never you complain in the process, never you back out!
My advice for you is... Do not give up yourself to be someone else. You are so unique the way you are. What you owe yourself is... Put more efforts into what you do! Here is the deal; the level of energy invested into competing with yourself determines the speed at which you run. Paul Okuk.
