Paul Famous N. Okuk is a vibrant and enthusiastic youth who has over time built up a strong personality and skills in Human Resource Management, Project/ production Management and skill acquisition development.
Proves of his dexterity in these aspects are spotlighted by the various positions he has held in companies such as Complete Solutions Nig. Ltd – Abuja, Nigeria as Secretary (2005 - 2006). Presently, Paul Okuk works with Market Integrated Multimedia (MIM2) Ltd as a Production Manager (started 2009 till date), Ondo State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Akure - Nigeria; as a Cultural Assistant (2011 till date), Paradysity Nig. Ltd, Akure - Nigeria as Project Planning and Implementation Executive (started 2013 till date and Split Media Pro, Akure, Nigeria as the MD/ CEO.
He is also a certified diploma holder in Data Processing, Video Editing and Desktop Publishing. He also advanced to Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi, Jos, Plateau State – Nigeria where he achieved a Pre – National Diploma in accounting (Business Studies Department), (2005/ 2006 academic session). As part of his self-development scheme, he has self studied Human Psychology, Business Orientation and Management. He has attended seminars on Job awareness, Corporate Ethics, Career Guide, Entrepreneurship and Netpreneurship skills, Cultures and Tourism.
Paul Okuk has been involved in a number of Community Development Projects. Some of which include: the publication of his self-written motivational, business inclined, educational, and inspirational articles on his blog, that won a Blog Star Award in 2011 by Google Blog Directory Awards, nominated for African Bloggers Award, Nigeria Bloggers Award and Google Blog Directory Awards 2014 - http://getinspiredwithpaulokuk.blogspot.com is open for readers all over the world to read free of charge in fifty-one (51) different languages across the globe.
He has also volunteered and worked as a traffic warden, helping to control the flow of vehicles on both streets and major roads in Nigeria. He organized people (volunteers) to join him in filling pot-holes on major roads in Nigeria preventing accidents, which also contributes to vehicle maintenance. Also, he organized a seminar on The Effective Use of Relationships. As part of his Community Development projects, he is currently working on executing a business seminar for young entrepreneurs, delivering lectures on Business Ethics, Price Placement, Business Growth Plans and Profit Management. Paul had delivered a free lecture to the students in Theatre 101 department, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, on Entertainment Entrepreneurship.
More so, he worked as a volunteer, heading the registration team on The Advancement 1.0 – an event that sensitized people on self improvements and confidence in our country. He also volunteered and visited poor children – taught and spent quality time and distributed educational materials and had lunch with the kids of Ijare Local Government Area in Ijare, Ondo State, Nigeria. Presently, he is a volunteer, heading a five man planning committee on a Community Development Project called Fight Aids School Tour (FAST), a project meant to be executed in the 21 African countries across the sub-Sahara as listed by the UNESCO 2013. Paul Okuk has plans to tour the Nigeria Universities, talking to youths about Social Responsibility as a Community Development Project in April 2015, create a social (online) network of Community Developers in Nigeria purposely to gear people into adding unmatched values to their immediate and far communities.
Paul possesses special skills in Disk Jockey (DJ) – played officially for MTN Nigeria (Ondo State), NYSC (Ondo State), Creative Writing/ motivational and business inclined writing – written for Tracez Int’l Styles and Event Magazine, Movie-tainment Magazine, Tourist Xperience Magazine, Get Inspired Blog etc. Acting – featured in three (3) screen movies and numerous professional command (stage) performances in Lagos, Abuja, Ekiti and Ondo state respectively, singing and Project Management.
Mr. Paul Okuk is however open to new projects and ideas, always willing to take part as a volunteer in any Community Development Project. He is of the opinion that the society is a mirror of our true self and therefore, his strive is to positively influence the human mind which will bring about the positive change we seek in our society. He believes in service to dexterity, intelligence and service to humanity.
