Wants and Wills - How they affect the human mind

GET INSPIRED:

(Daily Inspirational Post "DIP")

Our ability to do anything lies in our will-power. However, our choice of words play important roles in helping us reach the zenith of our target goals. The difference between "want" and "will" is a thin line with unmatched mental reaction. You can be at the comfort of your home and say "I want to play football". But you will have to be at the football pitch to say "I will play football".

"Want" gets you ready for a task while "will" gets you in the task. "Will" is the ability to be able to exercise one's choice or intention (want).

Your mind reacts to your choice of words so well that it determines your next couple of actions. It cannot be overemphasized that you manage your positive will-powers. Negative will-powers drives you to do negative things; they're intoxicating influences that pushes you beyond your limits and leaves you with regrets. It is therefore better to be influenced by one's positive will-powers than the reverse.

It is not new to you (if you have been following my "DIP") that the mind is the highest workstation. Our words become tools that screws the engine called "mind". You may say... let me not say negative words - I'll just think it. Well, we are moved also by our thoughts. Every action and or inaction is traced back to our thought process. This is why we should rule over our thoughts instead of allowing our thoughts rule over us.

My advice for you is... Choose your words carefully. Use positive words/ phrases that are potentially commanding in nature as an aggressively polite way to trigger you into the process of reaching your target heights. Avoid negative words/ phrases that suggests uncertainty, fear and sluggish followup. You are the boss - talk and act like the boss!
